MalariaWorld wants to notify all its subscribers that it will be present during the upcoming meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), November 10-15, in Atlanta USA. We will have a booth at the meeting and welcome you all there to meet in person. We want to use this meeting to meet as many of you as possible, and talk with you about MalariaWorld. How can we improve it, what would you like us to focus on next, etc. But please note that we will be presenting the completely new look-and-feel of the site there (that is currently being constructed). Please pass by and note that there will be a surprise waiting for you at our booth...
This week four great contributions from the Global Health Group in San Francisco, presenting four country case studies. Have a look at the blogs session to read about malaria in Turkmenistan, Cape Verde, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius.
Also, take a look at a much older elimination story, that of Palestine. Better still, compare the four country stories with that of Palestine. Note the similarities, note the differences.
Please, for all of you working on the LAMP PCR story...have a look at recent comments. Apparently, some of you are still struggling with this technique.
Meanwhile we have passed the 7800 members this week. Impressive. We hope that after the Atlanta meeting we will have signed up our 8000th member...
Enjoy this week's MalariaWorld - the MW team.
