The poster about MESA Track, the largest malaria projects database, won the third prize among 840 posters. Presented by Elisabet Martí, the poster explains the importance of an open-access and living database of projects to reference ongoing research, among others. The poster highlighted the different ways the open-access database gets populated with projects and the diverse ways one can extract information and analyses from the database including the deep dives and the country portfolios.

Currently, MESA Track contains over 4,347 malaria projects with information on principal investigators, project sites, and funders, this database is a useful tool for malaria researchers to understand the state of the art and gather insights on research and investment trends to shape their next proposals.

The MESA team is thrilled to see that the evaluation committee saw the invaluable potential of this tool for the malaria community and the clarity of the message. The poster is now online in the MESA Resource Hub (a growing archive of useful malaria resources and tools) for you to glance at.
